The British Bat Research Symposium (BritBats) primarily aims to bring together UK based undergraduate and postgraduate students conducting research on bats anywhere in the world. Students are given priority to present their research, however, BritBats is open to anyone who has an interest in bat research, from academia, to NGOs, to industry and general bat enthusiasts.

BritBats 2020 will be the 5th in a series of successful meetings, first held at the Zoological Society of London in 2010. Meetings have since been hosted at Bristol Zoo in 2013, University College London in 2016, and the University of Bristol in 2018.

Marking ten years in bat research, an ever expanding, innovating and exciting field, we hope the 5th BritBats meeting will spark new cross-institutional collaborations. With this in mind, BritBats 2020 is organised as a collaboration between University College London and the University of Sussex.
